Hi all! I’m Erin’s fellow travel buddy and bestie, Eva. I’m thrilled to announce Erin has shared the reins and I will be contributing to her wonderful blog. I am looking forward to share some travel perspective through my lens, from art inspiration to precision packing and everything in between!
First a little about me… I live in Boston, MA with my boyfriend. My family is spread out all over the country, I wish I could see them more often. I have a core group of girlfriends who I adore and don’t know what I’d do without. I love chocolate, skylines, puppies, photography, cooking, windows-down, planning and tea time. Without these essentials I’d be lost!
Erin and I went to the same college but didn’t cross paths until we were studying abroad together in London. We quickly found out we had similar interests and instantly hit it off. Over the span of three months, we traveled together around Europe and in turn, learned a lot about ourselves and each other. Back at school in rural Virginia, we took classes together and spent a lot of time reminiscing about city life in London… as any college student does after spending the best three months in a very different world.
Fast forward to today: four years later. I always knew I’d go back across the pond to London at some point and it’s finally happening! Erin and I and a few other girls (who all met in London) booked a trip for the Fall. Although it hasn’t completely hit me yet, I couldn’t be more happy about it.
I wholeheartedly believe that traveling is the best way to feel, in a broad perspective and on a personal level. The spontaneous, free, joyful, light, curious, not knowing what’s around the corner feeling – for me – is the best remedy. It lifts me up, opens my mind and makes me feel whole. How lucky are we to have the opportunity to learn from other cultures and immerse ourselves in everything they offer us? I’d say very lucky.
Join me on my new writing adventure here on Wonderlost as I share my ideas and advice on past and future travel! Till next time!
